Charly Buyck

Aboriginal Sports Circle

Charly is a proud citizen of the Na-Cho Nyäk Dun First Nation. She was born and raised in a small village in Central Yukon, where she embraced every opportunity to participate in sports and recreation. These experiences ignited a lifelong passion for multi-sport games and led to a distinguished career in the sport, physical activity, and recreation sector, where she has worked extensively in both government and government relations.

 

Charly has participated in 28 multi-sport games, including five North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), in roles from athlete to Chef de Mission to host society. She has served on the Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC) and NAIG Council for over 15 years and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in from Royal Roads University.

 

Passionate about the power of sport to bring communities together, Charly is dedicated to promoting Indigenous sport and excited to continue supporting the growth and empowerment of Canada’s indigenous youth.
